The Rino and the Buddha: the end

I did it, .....but what will it become? An ending here will become a beginning elsewhere. It seems like this might be positive and hopeful and work out best for everyone.

I hope so.

Whats with the title?

I write as I seek and sometimes find balance in my life - with work, how I live, who I am, what I believe, and how I interact with the world as a whole.

One of my favorite books is Rhinoceros Success, by Scott Alexander. It is a popular business training book and has taught me ways to walk through fear, take care of my self and be more successful.

However, as wonderful as that Rhino stance is for me, I need need to balance it with compassion, kindness and mindfulness. The Buddha reminds me of that balance and also reminds me to breath, especially when things are tough. I have been reading a lot of Buddhist writings and have gotten very serious about sitting meditation. It helps - a lot.

Thus the title. It makes me smile and laugh at myself but also helps me remember to seek balance and find wisdom wherever I can.
